Frequently Asked Questions

Can we see the kennel before boarding?

You are most definitely allowed to see the kennel before boarding. We actually encourage new and previous clients who have missed our facility tours to come to take a look around. We are happy to show you around every area.

What do I need to bring when I drop off my pet for boarding?

When dropping off your pet for boarding, we ask that you bring all current vaccination records if you are a new client, any food with instructions if your pet has dietary needs and any medication with written instructions.

What happens if my pet has a medical emergency?

If your pet has a medical emergency, the kennel will make every effort to contact you if it is necessary to seek medical aid. We will take your pet to your regular veterinarian or the emergency clinic in Montgomery if the emergency is after hours. For this reason, we require contact information with a permanent emergency number, such as a family member, so we have someone to contact.

What might I expect when my pet returns home?

When your pet returns home from their stay, their excitement may indicate that they are thirsty or hungry. We ensure that your pet has had water and food during their entire stay. To prevent an upset stomach, limit food and water for a short period after your pet returns home. After boarding, it is also normal for some pets to be sleepy.

How far in advance do I need to make reservations?

It is essential to make reservations well ahead of time, especially for major holidays and anytime the kids are out of school. For Thanksgiving and Christmas, we highly recommend making reservations at least six to eight weeks ahead.

Are all runs indoor/outdoor?

All runs have their own atrium outdoors that adjoins to an individual sleeping area.

How often is my pet let out for potty breaks?

Each dog has an individual potty area in our atrium; therefore, they may use it at any time.

What is play time?

For an additional charge, we offer playtime for our canine guests out on our grass areas. Dogs are taken out of their area to interact and enjoy playing in the grass.

Is there a cancellation fee?

We do not require a deposit to hold your reservations. Although, we do kindly ask that you give us a call to cancel your reservations so we can allow someone else to use our boarding facility for their pet.

Is anyone there on Sunday mornings and major holidays?

Yes, we have staff available on Sunday mornings and major holidays to ensure your pets are taken care of.

While we strive to keep our canine guest’s runs clean continuously during the day, we cannot control your dog’s individual tendency to “be a dog.”

We will strive to touch up your pet if needed, but you may want to consider an “exit bath” to freshen up your pet.

“ We have found her a home away from home for when we can’t take her with us. Prices are cheaper than I’ve paid elsewhere too.”
